Confession is a very personal song. Lyrically, it deals with the dichotomy between the strong, confident outward projection that I, and so many others, portray in our social/professional lives - while silently struggling with feelings of inferiority on the inside.
lyrics
When you asked me on to the dance floor,
It broke my heart 'cause I couldn't dance
Outwardly I have all the answers,
Truth is, it's so hard taking a chance
Below the surface,
Insecurity
Can I deliver,
On this image of me?
Here's my confession,
I'm not who I seem
A daily struggle,
Trying to measure up to me
When it came my turn to deliver,
I blanked out, it was over my head
It seemed like I had it together,
If they only knew, I would've fled
(Chorus)
